Australia Clears Extradition Of Former US Marine Who Allegedly Trained Chinese Pilots

In May 2024, Simple Flying reported that former US Marine pilot, Daniel Duggan, was facing extradition to the United States after being accused of training Chinese military pilots. On Monday, Australia’s Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus approved the US extradition request upholding the ruling in May by a New South Wales magistrate that had also found him eligible for surrender. It is still unclear when he will be extradited to the United States. If he is convicted, Duggan faces up to 60 years in prison.
