On May 29th, 2007, Russia's S7 Airlines placed a $2.4 billion order with Seattle planemaker Boeing for 15 787 Dreamliners to replace its Airbus A310s and Ilyushin Il-86s. At the time, the deal was the largest Boeing sale in the former Soviet Union.
