A quick review of Tottenham Yard on the morning of Monday 9th December saw no less than 12 locomotives in the yard. 4 x SSR locomotives coupled to the UP end of a grain consist. Smaller locomotives at the sidings on the down side of the Tottenham Yard Tower.
There were several PN locomotives in the Yard near the tower and 3 others were stationed at the UP end of the yard waiting for a signal for the main to Melbourne.
The XPT came through on the down for Sydney. Three NR locomotives followed destined for Spotswood.
