American 737 Returns To Chicago With Warning Indicators

On December 1st, 2024, an American Airlines flight from its hub at Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) was diverted back to the Windy City following what it described as a “maintenance issue” and what some media outlets have categorized as a midair emergency. The aircraft in question was a Boeing 737-800 which was set to takeoff for Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas, according to data from the flight tracking website FlightAware.
