Why The USAF Chief Thinks The Air Force Needs “More Air Force”

On March 11, 2024, the Department of the Air Force unveiled a $217.5 billion 2025 budget for the United States Air Force (USAF) and the United States Space Force (USSF). This is an increase of $2.4 billion, or 1.1%, compared to this year’s budget. The USAF and USSF claim that the increase is needed to maintain the servicer’s readiness to respond to current threats, fill gaps, and manage increasing risks.
