UK PM Greenlights New Multi-Billion Pound 6th-Gen Jet Developed With Japan & Italy

It’s always a scary time for major defense projects when governments change following an election. However, the new British Labour Government has given the go-ahead for the BAE Tempest sixth-generation fighter (now called GCAP or Global Combat Air Programme). Separately, it has also been reported that the Royal Air Force (RAF) may be leaning toward purchasing more F-35Bs instead of Typhoons as it seeks to increase its numbers following the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
