Tensions Rise After Chinese Aircraft Carrier Group Sails Through Taiwan Strait

According to Taiwan News, the Taiwanese Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated today that China’s Liaoning aircraft carrier transited the Taiwan Strait on Tuesday. China is building up its navy and aircraft carrier force. It now has three aircraft carriers, with the new Fujian carrier currently undergoing sea trials while a new generation of carrier-based fighter jets is in development.
