On Friday, September 13th, it was revealed that the National Basketball Association (NBA) was planning to lease 13 Airbus A321neos. These aircraft would be used by its teams to transport its players and staff between each game during the lengthy 82-game schedule. These narrowbody commercial airliners will be converted to executive transport business jets, which will be able to fit the entirety of an NBA team roster and staff in a comfortable setting. Historically, teams in the NBA have chartered flights onboard Boeing 757 airliners operated by Delta Air Lines.
