The United States Air Force’s Randolph Air Force Base is located near San Antonio, Texas, and has been operating as a flying training facility for its entire existence. It is known as the “Showplace of the Air Force” because of the Spanish Colonial Revival Style architecture found in its structures (including the hangars). It is one of the most remarkable Air Force bases in Texas and one of the biggest air force bases in the state after it was merged with Lackland.
