Until as recently as March 2020, the UK was behind only the US for the number of scheduled passenger Boeing 747 flights. The pandemic changed everything, with British Airways and Virgin Atlantic retiring their 747-400s. Four years on, the UK presently has no passenger 747 services – but that will change this summer.
