The NSW Government is replacing the ageing NSW regional rail fleet of XPT, XPLORER and Endeavour trains with 29 safe, comfortable and more accessible trains for customers travelling across NSW and between, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane.
A recent transfer was captured with SSR G514 leading the R set movement. The train hails from CAF Spanish Stock and is not really designed for inter city use rather regional connections a bit like the Vlocity trains. Why the NSW Government thinks this will attract passengers on interstate or longer regional services is anyones guess.
There are no included sleeper services so guess what we are going backwards one interstate services now. Well done Sydney.

I do not fancy sitting on this train for travel between Sydney and Melbourne or Sydney and Brisbane, would be expecting a better more luxurious version.

I have viewed the many videos and photos on the internet which shows enough to see the seats and board do not look great plus sleeper services not available.
