Egypt Orders 1st-Ever J-10C Fighter Jets From China

In another sign of how complicated politics are in the Middle East is, the Egyptians have reportedly ordered Chinese chengdu J-10C fighters. The Egyptians had ordered Russian Su-35S fighter jets in 2018. However, the United States compelled Egypt to cancel the order as part of its effort to chock off Russian military exports under the CAASTA Act ( these jets are now being sold to Iran ). Then to Egypt in 2018, but this has since fallen through. Now, it seems Egypt is turning to the Chinese.
