JetBlue Opens Embraer E190 Flights On Presque Isle Essential Air Service Route

Keeping smaller or remote communities connected to major cities or airline hubs is a critical element of commercial aviation, which is why they are often nominated as Essential Air Service routes. On Thursday, US carrier JetBlue launched services between Boston and Presque Isle in northern Maine, a city with fewer than 10,000 residents on the southern shores of Lake Erie near the Canadian border.
