Police Officer stabbed after attending fake burglary call

Footage has been released of 18 year old Moses Thurairajasingam stabbing a police officer.

Detective Senior Constable Ashley Hall said police alleged Mr Thurairajasingam had earlier called and reported a man had assaulted him inside the home before leaving.

The teen appeared in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Wed afternoon after being arrested 3 Sep.

Wearing a white shirt, he sat in the dock flanked by two guards with his eyes closed. His mother, Angela, and three elder siblings sat in the body of the court.

He apparently called in a fake burglary and stabbed the cop because he “wanted to go to heaven.”

Bail application was denied after police said he posed an “unacceptable risk.”
