Examined: American Airlines’ Small But Mighty Domestic Network Out Of Newark Liberty Airport

As a US legacy carrier, there is no question that American Airlines has a strong presence in the New York metropolitan area. The Fort Worth, Texas-based carrier is one of a few airlines that serve all three of the areas airports specifically referring to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA) as hubs. The airline has the largest network from the former, but still serves a plethora of routes from the latter. Additionally, American has a robust regional network from LGA.
