Outgoing chief executive Christine Zeitz is expected to retire at the end of September this year, according to a company statement published earlier this month.
Andrew Warrender, currently the airport’s executive manager for aviation and air freight business development, will fill the role being vacated by outgoing CEO Dr Peter Cock from 9 January.
The approval, announced by the US Department of State’s Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, is designed to enhance Australia’s ability to operate and sustain its advanced fast jet fleet, while strengthening interoperability with US forces.
