The British-manufactured Avro Vulcan is a jet-powered strategic bomber that entered service with the Royal Air Force (RAF) in 1956. The tailless delta-wing design featured four Bristol Olympus turbojet engines, each producing 11,000 lbf (49 kN) thrust.
