Spirit Airlines Secures $300 Million In Financing

Spirit Airlines’ facility will become available once it emerges from Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

There will be up to 53 daily flights each way in 2025.

Spirit Airlines’ last A319s were leased from Carlyle, a US-based aircraft lessor.

Spirit Airlines has been storing aircraft in addition to the 23 Airbus A320 and A321s it sold to GA Telesis.

The airline is adding 3 new routes and resuming over 20 links across its network to cope with increased demand over Mardi Gras and Spring Break.

The airline had less than $13 million in equity in November.

Spirit Airlines has taken delivery of its 28th A321neo, which was the first of four involved in a sale-and-leaseback (SLB) deal.

At least 19 Spirit Airlines aircraft that are being sold to GA Telesis have been stored in Phoenix, Arizona.

More troubled times ahead are expected for the ultra-low-cost carrier.

However, these could be preliminary capacity adjustments before Frontier Airlines publishes its full 2025 schedule.
