On Saturday, May 16th, a Croatia Airlines Airbus A220-300 had to reject takeoff at high-speed and left the runway as a result. The aircraft smashed through several signs as it came to a stop.It’s noted that the aircraft veered to the left during take-off before leaving the paved section of the runway and entering a grassy area beside it.

These planes have been parked for many years, leading to the Middle Eastern carrier standing its ground and the jets potentially being orphaned indefinitely. However, this has reportedly led to US carrier United Airlines to consider buying the airframes.
