A goods train operated by SCT travelling from Perth to Melbourne (Laverton Terminal) as collided with a vehicle at a level crossing near Cressy west of Geelong.

The cause of the derailment is under investigation, with ARTC working alongside the train operator and the Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator.
