What an extraordinary position for an Australia Senator to take. To make a public statement mourning the death of the leader of a terrorist organisation is a new low for the Greens but also for the reputation of the Australia Parliament.
The Australia Greens have form over their support of Palestine and that is a fair position to have when it relates to the people of Palestine and not the terrorist organisation. However we must stop short as a country of support any acts of terror or the organisations behind those acts of terror including the Israeli government.
Senator Faruqi should be sanctioned immediately and have her membership to the Australia Greens revoked.
