Mexican flag carrier Aeromexico will reduce its anticipated summer service expansion in the wake of the US Department of Transportation (DOT) striking down a renewal to the antitrust immunity provisions that supported the airline's Joint Cooperation Agreement (JCA) with Delta Air Lines. This program allowed for the two carriers to coordinate fares and schedules across the US-Mexico border and was struck down as a result of new policies enacted by the Mexican government that could have reduced competition at Mexico City International Airport (MEX).
