After a year of intensive negotiations, the US Air Force and Boeing have come to terms to build two rapid prototypes of the E-7A Wedgetail for testing to meet US Air Force needs. Although the E-7A Wedgetail has been flying for Australia, South Korea and Turkey with orders for the United Kingdom also; the US Air Force has their own requirements which helped drive up costs.
