Rolling stock company Alstom has revealed that it has won a contract to provide maintenance for WAG-12B locomotives at Indian Railways’ Sabarmati locomotive depot.
The TransPennine Route Upgrade (TRU) is using the opportunity of Global Recycling Day to set out the progress it is making towards sustainability.

Sad that almost no general waste uses rail between locations in Australia. The only service I could identify is the Sydney garbage train to a location near Canberra.
Considering the tonnages and the locations for storage rail should step up and demand access to these locations and stop using 1000’s of truck movements per day between locations.
