2023 was a delight of a year for airports based in Rome as they saw a staggering 44.5 million passengers travel through it. The busiest airport in Italy, Rome Fiumicino International Airport, aka Leonardo da Vinci Airport, was able to garner 40.5 million passengers. New routes to North America, among other parts of the world, have paved the way for a robust recovery post-COVID-19. Travels across Europe and to China have seen a hearty recovery, and the prospects for these airports are equally good.
