Flight attendants often work multiple legs or sectors in a day, which may be returning to base, before a layover, or as part of a multi-leg trip. Long-haul flight attendants generally only work on one sector per day due to much longer flights, whereas those who are scheduled for shorter flights will work anywhere between one and six flights in a day, although on average most crew work two to four flights a day, depending on which trips they are scheduled.
