Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) has appointed construction company Kier to lead the design of the upgrade of the Heaton Park tram stop in Prestwich, Greater Manchester.
The Rail Industry Investigation Branch (RAIB) has decided not to continue its investigation into the derailment of a tram in Manchester in April, as it believes that there are no significant safety lessons from the incident.
