The former Victorian premier has been living in a multimillion-dollar beachfront home owned by a wealthy property developer family that made $29,340 in contributions before the 2022 state election, in a pattern similar to a practice the state’s anti-corruption watchdog has raised concerns about.
Former Victorian premier Daniel Andrews is living a secret post-political life in a multimillion-dollar luxury beachfront home belonging to a wealthy Labor donor who made payments to the party in a pattern similar to a practice the state’s anti-corruption watchdog has raised concerns about.
Mr Andrews has been staying in the spectacular fortress-like home on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula after it was purchased earlier this year by a property developer, who, alongside close family members, donated almost $30,000 to the Victorian Labor Party in the months before the 2022 state election.
The donor, the matriarch of a family that founded a successful luxury property development company operating across three states, appears to have made “split donations” worth $8300 via the use of two companies she is a beneficial owner of, as well as an individual donation of $4320.
This is terrible the man is such a taker, should never have been allowed to be premier or a politician at that.
