ÖBB and Stadler have presented two new train types at InnoTrans 2026 in Berlin: the first double-decker Railjet for Austrian long-distance services and the battery-electric FLIRT Akku for regional routes. The KISS will enter service from summer 2027, while the first FLIRT Akku units are due on the Kamptalbahn from 2028.
