Great Yarmouth railway station is now brighter and more welcoming for customers after Greater Anglia carried out improvement work to the ceiling and glazing.
The high-level ceiling has been repainted, and the external glazing and gable ends have been replaced.
Over the past year, the train operator has invested more than £700,000 in a package of improvements including upgraded waiting room facilities, refurbished toilets, a new Changing Places toilet, improved customer information, and ongoing work to improve the fabric of the station building.
This refurbishment at the station makes it look much brighter, cleaner, and overall, more appealing for customers.
The changes also help make the station more comfortable, accessible, and welcoming for everyone, providing customers with a more positive experience, as well as making the station a smarter gateway to the town.
Andrew Goodrum, infrastructure & major projects director at Greater Anglia, said: “This project has given the station a fresher and more modern appearance, with the refurbishments helping to brighten up the building and create a more pleasant first impression for passengers arriving in Great Yarmouth.

In recent years, the station area has also benefitted from other improvement initiatives supported by the Wherry Lines Community Rail Partnership.
