Entered commercial service in 2007, the A380 was Airbus’ solution to compete against its American counterpart, Boeing, and its 747 program, within the space of high-capacity, long-range aircraft. The A380, the only commercial aircraft with two full decks to accommodate passengers, remains iconic alongside other great aircraft designs.
