Vietnam National Railways (VNR) received the first batch of new D19E diesel locomotives at Yen Vien station at the end of August 2026, starting another step in the renewal of its mainline traction fleet.
The agreements increase the number of active operators on the South African rail network from one to 12 and are expected to add 24 million tonnes of annual freight capacity.
