Frontier Airlines plays an important role in US budget travel, and even more so now that Spirit Airlines is no longer around. In August 2026, OAG data shows that the ultra-low-cost carrier plans an average of 693 daily movements. This is up by a substantial 14% year-over-year, which reflects, in part, growth because of the absence of Spirit.
