Qantas flew an Airbus A380 from Australia to the US and back with a rogue maintenance lamp within the aircraft’s wing, an investigation published yesterday by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) has confirmed. The quadjet had arrived at Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD) from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), and was worked on before its next flight later that day, to Dallas (DFW).
