Stairway to Surbiton complete with overcrowding delays set to reduce

Network Rail has completed a £6.7m upgrade of Surbiton station with the construction of a new deck and staircase to help reduce overcrowding and improve passenger safety.
Network Rail has teamed up with industry partners to launch a trial of a smart new technology to digitally display speed restrictions along railway lines.
Network Rail and South Western Railway have announced that the Island Line, which runs from Ryde Pier Head to Shanklin on the Isle of Wight, will close for essential maintenance work on Friday, 6 September.
