Great British Railways update released by Government

An amendment to the Railways Bill introduced on Wednesday, 10th June, has enshrined Great British Railways (GBR) in public ownership.

16-17 railcard changes announced by UK government

From Monday, 17th August, rules around the validity of 16-17 Saver Railcards are being changed to bring them into line with other railcards.

The government is being urged by the train drivers’ union, ASLEF, to commit that all new rolling stock will be in public ownership.
