Ditch the Witch Billboards Target Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan

The campaign, running for six weeks ahead of Victoria’s November 28 state election, costs $105,000 and was funded by local business owners like brothel proprietor Franco Puleo, who says it captures public frustration without sexism.

Allan condemned it as secret, well-funded sexism that normalises attacks on women in politics, drawing support from Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, former PM Julia Gillard, and even Liberal deputy Jane Hume.

While One Nation’s Pauline Hanson brushed it off as tough talk leaders must handle, the ads highlight tensions over policy critiques versus personal attacks amid Labor’s polling slump on cost-of-living and crime.
