Earlier this week, Air Canada operated its first scheduled commercial passenger flight from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) to Shanghai Pudong (PVG) in China since 2020. The relaunch of this new ultra-long-haul route marks a significant step forward in terms of Toronto’s Asian connectivity (and, indeed, that of Canada as a whole), with four flights operating each way every week, year-round.
