14 Hours Lying Flat: United Polaris Passenger Pays $7,400, Gets Just $350 For Broken Seat

A United Airlines passenger has recounted her experience of flying with the Star Alliance carrier last October when ‘Cathy’ from Philadelphia had purchased two business class (Polaris) seats to Beijing, and was forced to sit in a broken seat for the entire journey. Cathy noted that while occasionally she flies for work trips, the cost of this personal trip was $7,388 per ticket ($14,776 total).
