United Airlines Flight Diverts After Passenger Tries To Open Door & Attacks Another Traveler

A recent scheduled United Airlines flight from Newark to Guatemala City was diverted to Washington on Thursday after a passenger allegedly tried to open the aircraft door. This led to the flight diverting out of an abundance of caution, and the flight was met by law enforcement on arrival, and the culprit was taken away. Passengers were accommodated in a hotel overnight before continuing to the Guatemalan capital the next day.
