The United States Air Force (USAF) is sending a significant reinforcement to the Middle East by flying nine aerial refueling tankers through the narrow gap of the Strait of Gibraltar. These aircraft were tracked and were flying as three separate groups, after a stopover in the Azores, to the Middle East, carefully avoiding the Spanish airspace when transiting the narrow Strait.
