Journalist Liam Bartlett challenged Bowen on prioritising ideology over energy security, citing risks from disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz due to the war in Iran.
Bowen countered that solar energy from the Australian sun remains uninterrupted and no expected fuel ships have been affected.
