Have you ever experienced the dreaded ‘SSSS’ code on your boarding card? These four consecutive letters are something every passenger never wishes to see on their boarding card. While there is nothing wrong with randomly having it, it means the passenger has to go through additional security screenings, which can be frustrating and lengthy. The four-letter code is used on domestic and international US flights to indicate that additional security screening should be conducted.
