A former quality manager who worked at Spirit AeroSystems, a Tier 1 supplier for Boeing, including the fuselages for the 737, has alleged that the culture at the company has allowed many defects to slip through the cracks, including the one that resulted in the Alaska Airlines mid-flight door plug blowout in January 2024.
