Grace Tame Calls Hamas Sexual Violence Reports Debunked, Draws Backlash

In a March 16 ABC Radio interview, Tame rejected suggestions of Hamas rapes during the attack on Israel, insisting she condemns all violence based on her own survivor experience.

The Israeli embassy accused her of losing her moral compass, Jewish groups called it inconsistent with believing survivors, and Pauline Hanson demanded she lose her 2021 title.

A 2024 UN report found reasonable grounds for rapes at sites like the Nova festival based on photos, videos, and testimonies, though no forensic evidence or prosecutions followed, fuelling ongoing debate over the claims.
