The topic of highly dense aircraft seating can be separated into narrowbody aircraft and widebody aircraft. The vast majority of low-cost and ultra-low-cost carriers overwhelmingly use the Boeing 737 and the Airbus A320 families. These aircraft are designed to seat six abreast, and there is essentially no variance in the industry (mainline and low-cost carriers alike) between how many economy class seats are abreast. With narrowbody aircraft, the economy density factor is essentially just a matter of seat pitch.
