An aviation safety bill recently introduced in the US House plans to implement National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) recommendations that would require changes to collision avoidance technology, air traffic control development and training, Federal Aviation Administration oversight practices, and helicopter routing. This comes after the final report and findings of American Airlines Flight 5342, a crash that saw 67 killed after a commercial aircraft, and a US Army Helicopter crashed above the Potomac River last year.
