Helrom, a specialist in the rail transport of semi-trailers, is starting a new service between Düsseldorf, in Germany, and Arad, in Romania. The first departures are scheduled in just a few days, with five weekly rotations scheduled from March, Helrom’s sales manager Eugen Sucea said.
The new service was announced in November, and it is Helrom’s first in Romania. The first departures from Düsseldorf are planned for 10-11 February, while from Arad on 13-14 February. The link connects Helrom’s headquarters in Düsseldorf and the AFLUENT Arad South Terminal, in the west of Romania.
Out of insolvency
The past few months were challenging for Helrom, which filed for insolvency last summer after an unsuccessful financing round. The company was looking for new investments, which were secured by Helrom’s owner HRG, which expanded the pool of investors and provided Helrom with additional capital. Despite the restructuring, Helrom is managing to launch new services. Other than this new one to Arad, the company started a connection between Dusseldorf and Katowice, in Poland, in September.
