On January 29, Etihad Airways announced the start of flights from Abu Dhabi to Calgary. The new service is record-breaking in various ways. For example, it’ll be the first time the carrier has flown to more than one Canadian city; it’ll be Calgary’s longest-ever nonstop flight; and it’ll be the first time that Alberta has had passenger flights to/from the Middle East.
