Trump Displays Minnesota Criminal Immigrant Mugshots on Second Term Anniversary

On the first anniversary of his second term, Trump crashed a White House briefing to highlight ICE’s Operation Metro Surge, which has led to over 10,000 arrests of criminal noncitizens in Minneapolis since he took office, including murderers, sex offenders, and gang members.

The event came as the DOJ issued subpoenas to Governor Tim Walz, Attorney General Keith Ellison, and other local leaders, probing claims they obstructed ICE by ignoring detainer requests for over 1,360 suspects.

Tensions escalated after an ICE agent fatally shot U.S. citizen Renee Macklin Good during a raid, sparking protests, while local police report complaints of ICE stopping citizens without cause; Walz invited Trump to visit and see community cooperation firsthand.
